Jacob Davelaar
Financial Advisor
Jacob Davelaar is a highly relational Financial Advisor who has a heart for service, excellence, and transparency. After graduating with a bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of Washington in 2016, he followed the call to his career as an Area Director with Young Life, a Christian Non-Profit Organization benefitting at-risk youth. During that time, he learned the importance of leadership, financial stewardship and the value of trusted relationships. Before moving from Snohomish, WA to Meridian, ID, in 2021, he earned his master’s degree from Fuller Theological Seminary in Ministry Leadership.
Jacob made the transition from vocational ministry to the financial services industry at the end of 2023, working as a Financial Advisor locally in Boise. He prides himself on being a trustworthy and transparent financial advisor. He has experience dealing with Donor Advised Funds, Charitable Trusts, Qualified Charitable Donations, and other Tax-Efficient strategies. He loves people and knows that most everyone desires two things: to be understood and to feel cared for. Caring for finances takes great care, skill, and prudence, and that is what Jacob accomplishes with his clients while at the same time making sure clients are understood and valued.
Jacob is married to his wife Kelsey, who is a Boise State Gymnastics Alum. They have two sons – Judah and Levi, and a girl on the way! Outside of professional responsibilities and family commitments, Jacob has coached middle school and high school basketball and golf, he enjoys playing guitar, wrestling with his kids, walking his Corgi, and is an avid Seattle Sports fan.
